Details:
Maiko are primarily young women in their teens, learning and practicing their performance skills during the day and performing them at private venues at night.
A much respected part of traditional Japanese culture among the Japanese. Unlike other easy out make-up shops, here at "KOKORO", we will give you the authentic experiences from your dressing, make-up and accessories. With a photo shoot by your personal Cameraman and friendly staff on site, be pampered with heartfelt hospitality in one of Kyoto's most popular Maiko experience shops. We have other locations in Kyoto's famed tourist spots like the Arashiyama area in the west, and the Gion area in the east. Take one step out of the shops in both locations and be surrounded in the perfect atmosphere for picture taking.

We offer optional rickshaw services if you sign up for the [Miyagawa no kokoro] Plan at our Higashiyama location or the [Arashiyama no kokoro] Plan at our Arashiyama location. (2,000 Yen/ person from approx. 10 mins)

Merchandise	Maiko experience: Higashiyama location (12,000 Yen - 26,000 Yen) Arashiyama location (10,500 Yen - 28,000 Yen) We also have plans for men and couples as well. Change to a Geiko transformation plan for an extra 1,000 Yen on each plan. Photo shoot will either take place in the studio or outside depending on the plan.
Recommended merchandise	Higashiyama location: Miyagawa no kokoro Plan (14,500 Yen) Arashiyama location: Arashiyama no kokoro Plan (13,650 Yen) *Includes make-up, dressing, 4 pictures, an original album and a one hour area stroll outside.
