Highlight:
The 300 – 400 cherry blossoms that line the pathway that leads to Ginkaku-ji called Testugaku no Michi is very famous, and any Japanese person has at least heard of it, but many are not aware that the cherry blossoms here are called "Kansetsu Sakura" because they were planted by a famous Japanese artist Kansetsu Hashimoto and his wife.
Take a relaxing stroll along the path and enjoy the large garden and cherry blossom season at its prime after a delicious meal at Hashimoto Japanese restaurant or Western Cuisine NOANOA.

Details:
The total lot size is 10,000 Square meters and displayed here are magnificent pieces of artwork that took Kansetsu Hashimoto half his life to create. Inside is a garden recognized as a national site of beauty, the studio where he made some of the greatest pieces that were showed at government sponsored exhibitions, a separate teahouse that he had built for his wife, and many stone sculptures that he had collected during the Heian and Momoyama eras. The interior design and layout of the mansion and garden itself were all personally designed by Kansetsu and is considered to be another addition to his collection of his work. He created this garden based on the idea of being deep in the quiet mountains, but still be located conveniently in the city. This idea was reflected as having a strong art sense and was recognized as a national site of beauty in August of 2000.
