Shigemori Mirei was a Scholar trained Landscape artchitect in Flower arranging and tea ceremony. He is mostly admired for his contemporary Japanese garden designs. Shigemori applied modernist shapes, colors, and materials to the Japanese dry landscape gardens to create a stunning avant-garde works that also celebrated the ancient gods and beliefs at the heart of Japanese culture.
