Details:
The Kimono is the commonly known traditional wear of Japan, but “Shozoku” is a completely different type of traditional dress.
The Kimono have been worn since the Edo era around 1690A.D, but “Shozoku” is traditional dress that has been around from the early Heian era, around 1000A.D. Today, Shozoku is usually seen worn only within the precincts of imperial villas or shrines and is not so well known among the public.
Here at Heian Shozoku, you can try on the official dress of the Heian era and become a nobleman of the imperial era yourself. Get your photographs taken and enjoy a relaxing, memorable experience of Japanese gracefulness while gazing at the small spot garden within our facility. We work hard to satisfy all of our customers and are confident in servicing a great mysterious power of the east with our tradition of over 1000 years.
