The Ohara Asaichi Morning Marketplace is held every Sunday from 6AM in Ohara, Sakyo-ku of Kyoto city. You can find fresh organic vegetables, grown from our neighboring village, and delicious, fresh handmade mackerel sushi and bento boxes for sale. Also, In the winter, there are baked potatoes and Takoyaki for sale as well. Enjoy a friendly chat with our local farmers and friends.

Ohara is the closest countryside from downtown Kyoto. The beautiful Japanese style farmland expands right before you eyes. At Sato no Eki Ohara, you can experience the autumn harvest, hands on. You don't need any gear; just a reservation and you can take home fresh vegetables after you've picked them yourself! Enjoy a wonderful hands-on farming experience in the beautiful surroundings of Oharaﾕs nature and the taste of fresh seasonal vegetables will make the most of your memories in Kyoto's countryside.

When: Weekdays/ Saturdays 11:00am - 3:00pm (1hr)
Sundays/ Holidays 1:00pm - 3:00pm (1hr)
