Seryo

There is nothing more relaxing, then enjoying a hot spring bath in the mountains of Kyoto after a long day of sightseeing, and eating delicious Japanese style cuisine to top it.
Seryo is the luxurious countryside getaway of Ohara, and a great experience for an inquisitive traveler.

Located in Ohara, near the historical Sanzen-in temple, Seryo is a family-run traditional Japanese style Ryokan that originally started as a tea farm. There are a total of 10 guest rooms; both western and Japanese styles are available with a view of the beautiful garden that surrounds the Ryokan. The rooms are large and the beds are propped up on platforms with plump, comfortable futons that will make you feel like you are sleeping on clouds. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths where you can relax and relieve your body from all the stresses of the day and feel refreshed for a delicious Kyoto style traditional cuisine. The meals are prepared with the freshest Kyoto ingredients from the mountains and served in the dining area where you can over look the garden.
